ASSIST-CARD USA Attends CLIA Cruise3SixtyDATE:2012.05.25 |
![]() ![]() Dear all,
Last month, our colleagues at ASSIST-CARD USA participated in the largest cruise travel trade show in the United States, CLIA’s (Cruise Line Industry Association) Cruise3Sixty. The show took place at the Broward County / Fort Lauderdale Convention Center from April 27 - April 29, and drew nearly 2,000 participants including travel agents, top travel companies and of course every major cruise line.
The ASSIST-CARD trade show booth featured a theme of basketball, to reinforce our position as the Presenting Sponsor for the Miami Heat and also highlighted our assistance services. The booth team was dressed in ASSIST-CARD uniforms and each had a different sash highlighting one or more assistance service. As one of the events most popular trade show booths, attendees waited in long lines for a chance to shoot simulated basketballs via 2 Wii games presented on 2 large 55” televisions for a chance to win basketball-themed and ASSIST-CARD logo prizes.
The most creative and sought after “assistance service” was a real “live” suitcase worn by Stefany Trabanino who wandered the trade show floor with a sign saying “Please return me to ASSIST-CARD,” handed out luggage tags with a show special of a bonus commission, and spoke with potential partners. The lost luggage was a big hit!
ASSIST-CARD also sponsored an invitation-only cocktail party prior to the Hall of Fame Awards dinner on Saturday evening. The party was attended by the top executives of the travel industry and the ASSIST-CARD team circulated the room and had quality one-on-one interaction with many potential partners and decision makers. We are also pleased to report that ASSIST-CARD was interviewed and will be featured on all future show promotions.
The event was an overall success and will provide the US sales team with many leads and much follow-up. Special thanks and congratulations to the entire sales, marketing, and assistance team for their hard work in planning and designing the booth and collateral materials and for bringing the booth to life!
