ASSIST-CARD URUGUAY, ASSIST-PHONE: A NEW BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY FOR ASSIST-CARDDATE:2010.11.19 |
Dear friends, Within the current global economy, the ability to create and sustain strategic alliances gives companies a significant competitive positioning. Within this concept, ASSIST-CARD and Forum Tel, a member of the Forum Group and a leading mobile phone operator, have closed an agreement to provide the ASSIST-CARD holders with free access to an ASSIST-PHONE made by Forum Tel to be used when abroad. Thus our customers will always be in contact with their families and friends at a really low cost, and without the need to purchase calling cards, or local cell phones, being able to save up to 80% in international calls, without additional charges or roaming costs. Calling rates are around USD 0.49 per minute for calls from the US to Latin America and €0.49 per minute for calls from Europe. Much lower than the rates charges by any of the mobile phone operators present at the Latin American marketplace. Our customers may save over U$S 300 for an average of 100 used minutes. Through a Branding action different from all those performed to date, the ASSIST-PHONE is identified with our trademark, which also appears as its wallpaper. It is delivered inside a special bag also identified with ASSIST-CARD which is very practical to carry not only the phone itself but also documents and cash. The phone is really easy to use and has a Dual SIM system that allows the travelers to also insert their own SIM cards to have quick access to their own contact list. In case our customers suffer an emergency or need any assistance service during the trip, they will connect free of charge to the nearest ASSIST-CARD Alarm Center by simply pressing # 5 a few seconds. Besides there is one more advantage within this spectacular agreement: the travelers may keep the phone by purchasing it at a special price of USD$ 79,90 + tax. In this case, they will get the same discounted calling rates in every trip they make. The ASSIST-PHONE launching took place on October 20th in Uruguay at the Montevideo World Trade Center. The event gathered journalists and travel agents and was presided by Nicolas Keglevich and ForumTel executives. Once the testing period in Uruguay ends, this action will gradually spread to all the countries in the region. |
